Yet this little girl has nothing ghostly about her, except the spirit of Christmas (the true one, not one of the spectres that visit the old Scrooge!) and the anticipation of the great joy awaiting on Christmas Eve, that enthusiasm only children have and that, as adults, we would do well to rediscover.

Description

Still too young to write, Carol has drawn a holly sprig in her gold-edged note, like the ones Grandma uses every year to decorate the Christmas table, inviting every kind soul to share kind thoughts with her (and perhaps a sweet treat too!).
Her red scarf brings us back to our childhood, when we waited for snow with our noses pressed against the window panes, while her little green dress looks like that of a playful elf, or one of the elves who help the much-dreamed-of Santa Claus.
